The original album, which came out in June 1992, became a smash hit, selling more than 2 million copies, thanks to several songs that made their debut on the record, including Alice in Chains’ “Would?” and Pearl Jam’s “Breath” and “State of Love and Trust.” It’s also notable for featuring Westerberg’s first post-Replacements recordings and a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “The Battle of Evermore” by a side project of Heart’s Ann and Nancy Wilson called the Lovemongers. The set will also feature new liner notes and a track-by-track breakdown of its songs by Crowe. The release, which will be available digitally, as well as a two-CD and two-LP set, features a bonus disc of previously unreleased songs and other rarities, including songs heard in the film but not on the original 13-track release.
